We are a leading European developer in all areas of real estate. We specialize in area development, but also in creating specific (or mixed-use) office, retail, leisure, residential, logistics and parking buildings and facilities. We’re driven by a desire to enrich the quality of people’s living, working and leisure environments.
Our approach is to develop satisfying urban structures, areas, communities, and surroundings that are environmentally, economically, culturally and socially balanced – and sustainable, connecting and inspiring future generations.
Outside Europe, in executing our investment strategies, development activities are limited to our investment products, to create new assets as well as the potential for enhanced returns in our portfolios. We also provide development project finance.
Development strategy
In Europe, we aim to provide quality solutions in real estate development and redevelopment, with a strong focus on area development, by:
- reflecting a passion for translating local needs into projects
- ensuring that ecological, functional and socio-economic concerns are taken into account by partnering with all relevant stakeholders including municipalities, architects investors, construction companies and tenants
- building multi-disciplinary development teams, which include real estate specialists, area development experts, and design and construction professionals
- anticipating the contraction of out-of-town space and the resulting shift from greenfield to large-scale, mixed-use brownfield and inner-city development
- using our solid background and experience in real estate (we have 40 years’ retail experience, which – combined with ING Real Estate’s global network and resources – ensures strong continuity and security.
- building sustainably
- creating unique projects
