ING Real Estate Traineeship

The ING Real Estate traineeship is a challenging two-year programme aimed at future Real Estate Leaders and High Value Specialists. We offer you an in-depth insight on all aspects of the international real estate market in great pace. We will coach and train you to contribute substantially to the continuous development of our company now and in the future.

The traineeship is open to international talented and ambitious master graduates who wish to improve their knowledge of international real estate and also want to develop personally. In most cases your programme starts at our Headoffice in the Netherlands, but you will also be offered the opportunity to do assignments abroad.

What kind of assignments can you expect?

As a trainee you will fulfill challenging assignments in each of our three business lines: Real Estate Finance, Real Estate Investment Management and Real Estate Development. During each term of eight months you participate in different projects. We assume that you like to operate hands-on and take responsibility at the same time. What are the requirements?

  • You are a master graduate with a degree preferably in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Urban and Rural Planning, Social Geography or Legal.
  • You have no more than two years of working experience and you have preferably demonstrable interest in real estate.
  • You are highly ambitious, you constantly drive improvement and set stretching goals.
  • You are good at identifying market drivers and you really understand your customer.
  • You stand out by your ability to organise, analyse and translate strategic relevant information.
  • You are a real teamplayer who is interested in the motives and behaviours of colleagues and drives collaboration.
  • You have developed skills from extra curricular activities like volunteer work, internships, or committee activities.
  • You are fluent in English, you have an international mindset and you are willing to start your career in the Netherlands.

How can you apply for the ING Real Estate Traineeship 2009?

We have completed our selection procedure for the Real Estate Traineeship 2008. More information on the 2009 Programme will be available soon.

Before you can start as a Real Estate trainee, you’ll have to get through the following procedure: 

Selection procedure
Step 1

We assess your curriculum vitae, grades and letter. In the letter we’re looking for:

  • Why you’re interested in a career in the real estate business and why ING Real Estate.
  • Your motivation for wanting to join the ING Real Estate Traineeship.

Step 2 

If your written application gets green light, we’ll invite you to complete a personality questionnaire and a capability test.
Step 3If you meet the minimum requirement on the capability test, you’ll be interviewed by two Human Resource professionals.
Step 4The next step is an interview with two business managers.
Step 5When the outcome is positive, the interview is followed by an Assessment Centre with an external organisation.
Step 6The final step in the selection procedure is a Panel Interview with senior management.

When all the above steps are completed successfully you will be welcomed aboard as a Real Estate trainee.
